Conflict of Interest Disclosure
At Revista Review Index Journal of Multidisciplinary (RRIJM), transparency, integrity, and objectivity are fundamental to the scholarly publishing process. The journal requires all participants—authors, reviewers, and editors—to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence their work, evaluation, or editorial decisions.
For Authors
Disclosure Requirement
Authors must disclose any financial, personal, academic, or professional affiliations that could be perceived as influencing the research or its interpretation. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Funding sources
- Employment, consultancies, or advisory roles
- Stock ownership or equity interests
- Paid expert testimony
- Patent applications or registrations
- Personal or professional relationships with individuals, institutions, or organizations
How to Disclose
All disclosures must be clearly stated in a dedicated section titled “Conflict of Interest” within the manuscript prior to submission.
If no conflicts exist, authors must include the statement:
“The authors declare no conflicts of interest.”
For Reviewers
Impartiality Requirement
Reviewers must decline or recuse themselves from reviewing manuscripts in cases where:
- A personal or professional relationship exists with the author(s)
- There is a direct competitive or collaborative association
- Any financial or intellectual interest could compromise objectivity
Disclosure Statement
Reviewers are required to promptly inform the editorial team of any real or perceived conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.
For Editors
Fair and Unbiased Decisions
Editors must ensure impartiality in all editorial decisions and should:
- Avoid handling manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists
- Disclose any relevant financial or personal interests
- Delegate editorial responsibilities to another qualified editor when necessary
Editorial Transparency
Editors are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards and ensure a fair, unbiased, and transparent review process.
Management of Disclosed Conflicts
- Publishing conflict of interest statements alongside the article
- Reassigning editors or reviewers
- Rejecting or withdrawing manuscripts if ethical standards are compromised
Responsibility and Enforcement
- Rejection of the manuscript
- Retraction of a published article
- Notification to the author’s affiliated institution
RRIJM follows the ethical principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics in managing and resolving conflict of interest cases.
