This study examined the major human resource challenges faced by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Tri-City region. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed among MSME employees, and reliability and factor analyses were conducted using SPSS. The results revealed a high reliability score Cronbach’s alpha 0.843 and an adequate sampling value KMO 0.704. Three key factors emerged—Skill Development and Manpower Acquisition, Employee Relations and Industrial Issues, and Government Support and Industrial Relations which together explained 73.29 percent of the total variance. The findings indicated that MSMEs struggled to upgrade employee skills, faced manpower shortages, and encountered industrial challenges such as unreasonable employee demands and unrest. Although some government support existed, it remained insufficient to address workforce-related issues effectively. Overall, the study highlighted the need for targeted training programs, better industrial relations, and stronger institutional support to enhance MSME growth and sustainability.
