This research delves into the level of awareness, usage, and learning achievement of SWAYAM-NPTEL — India's government-supported Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) platform — among higher education students. As online learning has been becoming a part of education, the like platforms of SWAYAM and NPTEL aim to provide quality education as available, affordable, and flexible as possible to learners across India. The study uses data from 154 students to analyze the extent to which such resources are being utilized. The findings suggest that awareness of SWAYAM-NPTEL is fairly high, but frequent use and course completion remain limited due to reasons such as lack of time, internet issues, and language difficulties. Those who used them found improved comprehension of subjects and perceived usefulness in certification. The report stresses the significance of high-quality institutional support, digital infrastructure, and curriculum integration to maximize the advantages of the platform.
