The rising awareness of sugar-related health risks has triggered a significant shift toward sugar alternatives across the globe (Rodda, Booth, Brittain, McKean & Thornley, 2020). A study tells sugar alternatives represent a sweet solution to the bitter consequences of excessive sugar consumption (Clemens, Jones, Kern, Lee, Mayhew, Slavin, & Zivanovic, 2016). So, this study tries to analyze the evolving paradigm of our shifting from sugar-to-sugar alternatives by examining the health impacts, market trends, consumer behavior, and regulatory frameworks and tries to reveal a complex interplay between the reasons of demand for healthier options and concerns over safety, efficacy, and sustainability with the help of literature review a secondary analysis approach.
